Huge thanks to all of our volunteers who put in a massive shift today cleaning the site before the final photos. Photographs are a crucial part of what we do as archaeologists, preserving and recording the site for current & future research and for presentation + dissemination.🙏

We finished our 2024 community excavation today with our amazing Transition Year students. They survived crash courses in surveying, recording & public interaction. Enormous thanks to everyone came to see us over the last few weeks & everyone who came to dig with us!🙏

Another great "Finds Friday" where our team of volunteers sorted, analysed and catalogued a range of artefacts including our beautiful assortment of Victorian floor tiles and stained glass fragments. We also welcomed Deputy Lord Mayor Cllr. Donna Cooney and are grateful for her interest and support🙏
