P4P had an amazing time with a real Roman Soldier yesterday! They learned how to do a Roman march, use swords and shields and go into the Roman battle formation!

We had a Roman soldier visit our class this afternoon. We learned lots about Roman soldiers and the Roman army. Ask us what we learned! The Antonine Guard

IO SATURNALIA Saturnalia was the ancient Roman festival in honour of Saturn, the Roman god of agriculture and the harvest, held on the 17th of December through to the 23rd of December. The holiday was celebrated with a sacrifice at the Temple of Saturn, in the Roman Forum.

Today P5 and P3/4 had an exciting visitor- a legionary soldier all the way from Rome! The children were fascinated to hear all about life in the army and see his armour and battle techniques. The Antonine Guard
