2nd stop on our caravan: Madison 4805 “They let me go, with no explanation, no pay, and no consideration. This is about all the people who’ve been mistreated at work. Labor justice is not a dream, it’s a right,” Dalsa D., a former employee owed over $1,700 in unpaid wages.

Today, we passed legislation -the first in the country- requiring that delivery apps help resolve ebike fire-safety threats, by providing a safe ebike to workers who don’t have one. Ebike fire-safety issues have escalated: 116 fires in NYC this year, due to defective ebikes. 🧵

Today’s press conference was a major step toward justice: 5 historic bills are up for a vote to guarantee pay & tip transparency & expand protections for 80K+ app delivery workers.
