#OnThisDay 14 January 1649 the ā€˜Ranter’ Abiezer Coppe caused uproar at St Helen's Church, Bishopsgate in London by cursing & blaspheming from the pulpit for an hour. Later that year he published the pamphlet ā€˜A Fiery Flying Roll’, announcing the second coming. #17thCentury #OTD
