"Iran is not the biggest issue in this region with America. Gaza is what is tearing people apart, is what is fueling hatred...children starved, the largest cohort of child amputees in the history of modern warfare..." Brilliant from Clarissa Ward

I absolutely love this hand-sewn version of my book's front cover. Thank you so much Emily Cockayne - what beautiful work!

I was first struck by Ellie Keel's talent & courage when she co-founded The Women’s Prize for Playwriting. Since then she has produced some 💥 shows, written a best-selling bk and now this Edinburgh Festival Fringe, 3pm daily. I rarely rave before seeing a show but I have big expectations. Congrats Ellie Keel

After watching the film #DoctorsInGaza, basement films which BBC refused to show, broadcast on Channel 4 last night, Gary Lineker says the BBC should ‘hang its head in shame’. He said it was one of the most important and moving films he’s ever seen. ‘It needs to be seen’.

A moment of much appreciated sanity from Archie Bland theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
