Today we remember Officer Robert Martin (#474). On Aug. 15, 1995, Officer Martin was shot and killed during a traffic stop on SR87 north of Shea Blvd. The assailant fled but was captured 2 days later in CA & convicted of first-degree murder, theft & misconduct. #WeWillNeverForget

On Aug. 31, 1990, Officer David Gabrielli (#1231) was struck and killed by a drunk driver while standing in the median at a crash scene on US 89 in Tucson with Sgt. John Blaser. The at-fault driver was later convicted of manslaughter and reckless endangerment. #WeWillNeverForget
