Today we remember Officer Robert Martin (#474). On Aug. 15, 1995, Officer Martin was shot and killed during a traffic stop on SR87 north of Shea Blvd. The assailant fled but was captured 2 days later in CA & convicted of first-degree murder, theft & misconduct. #WeWillNeverForget

Today, we remember Officer Gilbert Duthie (#143). On Sep. 5, 1970, Officer Duthie drowned when his cruiser was swept away by floodwaters near Sunflower. Officer Duthie was en route to help stranded citizens when the car was swept into a creek and carried away. #WeWillNeverForget
