Last night, E109 responded to a kitten trapped in the front of a vehicle. Upon arrival, crews could hear the kitten meowing from inside the front bumper. E109 carefully removed the bumper cover and rescued the 🐱 kitten. She is doing well and was turned over to AWLArlington, VA

We will be out in the Arlington Heights neighborhood tomorrow making sure homes are safe!

On Saturday, the ACFD joined forces with the @redcrossncgc to install free smoke alarms and home safety inspections in the Arlington Heights neighborhood. We worked to ensure residents had working smoke alarms on each level and in every bedroom, visiting over 325 homes!

Breaking: Units responded to the a flash fire in a building under construction on the 2000 block of Crystal Dr. No active fire or dangers to the public. One patient being treated & transported to Medstar with life-threatening injuries. Fire Marshals are investigating the cause.

We are proud to recognize our valuable partnership with Ready Arlington Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). 🎉 Thanks to ACFD and CERT instructors, nearly 60 community volunteers successfully completed their CERT basic training in 2025.
