And that’s a wrap for day 2 here AHA Science #AHA22. My Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine MD/PhD student Ramin Garmany spoke on RBM20-mediated cardiomyopathy. Wonderful collaboration w/ my dear friend Naveen Pereira from Mayo Clinic CV. Very grateful to be surrounded by amazing students like Ramin.

Glad to see our recent publication decoding the cardiopoietic secretome and its linkage to the repairing myocardial proteome out! Thanks to Kent Arrell, Dr. Terzic, Dr. Atta Behfar, and all coauthors. academic.oup.com/stcltm/article…

Glad to see our JAMA Network Open study out. The study brings attention to the growing healthspan-lifespan gap across the world and reveals the largest gap in the US. The study documents a larger healthspan-lifespan gap in women associated with a disease burden disparity.

Strong work Will Swain, Matteo Castrichini, MD, Ramin Garmany and the Mayo Clinic CV Genetic Cardiomyopathy research team!!! Much more to come from these talented future Cardiologists/Genetic Cardiologists.
