The 80th anniversary of V-J Day, commemorated on August 15, marks eight decades since the surrender of Imperial Japan to Allied forces in 1945. On this day, we honor the sacrifices of those who endured the war. Japan formally signed documents of surrender on September 2, 1945.

Recently, the 21st Theater Signal Brigade hosted an Officer Leader Professional Development session attended by LTG Rey. They discussed the ongoing modernization of the Army’s C2 systems. The brigade also hosted the Razor Ball. LTG Rey delivered the keynote address.

“The next war may not be kinetic only,” said LTG Rey at TechNet Augusta. He explained that future battles could include cyber-attacks, autonomous drones, electronic warfare and artificial intelligence-driven decision-making. This requires modernizing the network and C2 systems.

On SEP 5th, the 11th Signal Brigade hosted a Senior Officer Leader Professional Development session. LTG Rey attended and discussed the modernization of the Army’s C2 systems. The brigade also hosted a Signal Corps Ball. In his keynote, Rey highlighted the Signal Corps’ legacy.
