Paper out American Genetic Association. This was a laborious task to isolate and immortalize cells from the northern bat for our bacterial evolution projects. Here, the cells were used by @thomaslilley77 @BatLabFinland to determine the northern bat reference genome. doi.org/10.1093/jhered…

The data implies that these vertebrates may contribute to the transmission of enteric bacterial pathogens across the European continent.
