Thanks to Paul Nash | Paul atten Ash for capturing this Waterstones Bristol Leonard has a prominent (title) but peripheral (barely mentioned) role in the novel, which touches on how pop music can form as well as transcend friendships, time, place...it made sense in my head at the time...
