Ablative preoperative S-PBI plus endocrine therapy was safe at a single fraction of 34 Gy and generated pCRs and near CRs in patients with early-stage, ER-positive breast cancer. Asal Rahimi M.D., M.S. UTSW Simmons Cancer Center ASTRO #ASTRO23 #bcsm onclive.com/view/preoperat…

Findings showed that at a median follow-up of 21.5 months, patients treated in the 34 Gy cohort experienced a pCR/nCR rate of 93.3% vs 37.5% in patients treated in the 30 Gy cohort. Asal Rahimi M.D., M.S. UTSW Simmons Cancer Center ASTRO #ASTRO23 #bcsm onclive.com/view/preoperat…

I always wished for “ breast radiation planning for dummies” during residency. The UTSW Radiation Oncology breast team made this possible and I hope med students and residents find this useful for their breast rotation! Thanks Advances for publishing & QuadShot News for featuring our paper

"The CyberKnife has really allowed us to kick-start our stereotactic partial breast program back in the 2010-11 timeframe." Listen to Asal Rahimi M.D., M.S., UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, USA, celebrating 30 years of #CyberKnife treatments! #AccurayExpandRT #bcsm

Congratulations to Prasanna Alluri MD PhD for these two Department of Defense 🇺🇸 breakthrough grants! The future of the Breast Radiation Oncology team looks bright

Big congratulations to Drs. Raquibul Hannan and Asal Rahimi M.D., M.S. on their CPRIT awards! Dr. Hannan and his team are working to advance PULSAR for kidney cancer while Dr. Rahimi and her team are exploring single-fraction radiation as a nonsurgical option for early-stage breast cancer.

CPRIT is funding a phase II clinical trial to explore how nonsurgical treatment approaches could transform breast and kidney cancer care. Asal Rahimi M.D., M.S. BDmammodoc Prasanna Alluri MD PhD Raquibul Hannan UTSW Radiation Oncology bit.ly/43P9y8A

Led by Drs. David Parsons, Asal Rahimi M.D., M.S., and Mu-Han Lin, adapt. partial breast RT with RTT-led contouring cut physician time 12 min/fraction, maintaining high plan quality. This boosted ART capacity 224%, a big step toward efficient adapt. workflow. 🔗: bit.ly/4jGBvEJ
