While this ££ is a start, more is needed to achieve transformative ⬇️in smoking. Helping smokers to stop is excellent value for money – reducing NHS pressure and boosting productivity. We need a long-term commitment to further investment to end the harms caused by tobacco.

It took a raft of comprehensive measures on marketing, price & availability to bring down smoking rates - the same approach is needed to tackle alcohol harm. There's a strong association between alcohol & smoking so restricting alcohol ads could have wider benefits for health.
