Excited to share the latest work from the Chris Greening and Grinter labs. We resolved the CryoEM structure of Huc at 1.52 Ć , record breaking for a non-ferritin sample. Energy extraction from air: structural basis of atmospheric hydrogen oxidation biorxiv.org/content/10.110ā¦

In nature today (open access), we report the structural and mechanistic basis of how bacteria harvest energy from air. We reveal a novel enzyme, Huc, consumes atmospheric levels of hydrogen gas and transfers the derived electrons for aerobic respiration. nature.com/articles/s4158ā¦

Excited to share our new preprint investigating how bacteria consume carbon monoxide from the air! Really proud to have worked on this with my friend David Gillett during our PhDs with Rhys Grinter and Chris Greening leading the project. biorxiv.org/content/10.110ā¦

Our latest labour of love from the ā¦Chris Greeningā© and Grinter labs, co-led by ā¦Ashleigh Kroppā© and ā¦David Gillettā©. We determine the structure of an enzyme that extracts energy from Carbon monoxide in the atmosphere 1/ biorxiv.org/content/10.110ā¦

Tea room WEHI (Walter and Eliza Hall Institute) for #MentalHealthWeek. Such a great initiative

Congratulations to my amazing supervisors Dr Onisha Patel and Isa on a great paper and super cool structure! x.com/wehi_research/ā¦

Please help RT. If #kinase #xray #cryoEM #imaging #drugdiscovery is your thing then apply #postdoc with Isabelle Lucet & myself WEHI (Walter and Eliza Hall Institute). We support diversity, #genderequality, creativity, #kindnessinscience. wehi.edu.au/research-officā¦

Anyone Lorne Proteins looking for a job in #xray #cryoEM #kinase come and see Ashleigh Kropp on Tuesday poster 201 or after my talk on Wednesday #lcpsf43 #lorneproteins & check this out wehi.edu.au/research-officā¦

Working with Onisha as co-mentor is Ashleigh Kropp from WEHI (Walter and Eliza Hall Institute) Ashley's research looks at the structure and interactions of cancer proteins. Her mentors include Dr Onisha Patel who empowers her by sharing experiences from her own life #EmpowerHER bit.ly/2Fws5eZ

On #IWD2018 Iād like to give a shout out to all my amazing mentors! My supervisors Isa Lucet and Dr Onisha Patel and mentors and friends Kate McArthur , Marija Dramicanin and Michal Pasternak #EmpowerHER WISPP WEHI (Walter and Eliza Hall Institute)

On #IWD2018 shoutout to Isabelle Lucet, Weiwen Dai Ashleigh Kropp dream team who I work with WEHI (Walter and Eliza Hall Institute) and within WISPP & to Celine Zheng & @rhyspryce who I had a chance to mentor & now are PhD students University of Oxford. Crochet talent of Celineš! #empowerHER
