Tensions mounted in Senior school last Wednesday as the coveted Year 10 House MasterChef trophy was up for grabs again. It was a brilliant event and a real delight to see pupils working together to achieve a collective goal with fantastic team spirit.

YR 10 GCSE Food and Nutrition pupils visited Swinton Park Cookery school, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The setting was spectacular, and we had a warm welcome from Chef tutor, Luke Palmer who shared his knowledge and expertise on the top presentation and plating techniques.

Thought-provoking discussions regarding nutrition and the origin of the food we eat. It was great to learn that almost all the vegetables and herbs we used are estate grown and that local suppliers are sourced for other ingredients such as meat and cheese.
