I don't think I'll ever understand the kind of hate that would make you totally discount another person's humanity or right to dignity. I save that level of hate for the minutiae of films that I thought were "good" but ultimately didn't live up to the hype.

One of the things that has become clear to me over the years is that very often these prominent people haven't a clue what they are talking about. E.g. Graham Linehan, two years after he started his crusade, accidentally revealed he didn't know what "social transition" meant.

He was so ignorant, for years, he actually believed that very young kids were receiving medication and surgery. When he realised that kids just had a change of presentation and pronouns and name, it was too late to stop the train he was on, even if he wanted to.
