🗣️Language is widely distributed throughout the brain🧠 In a recent correspondence in Nature Rev Neurosci, we suggest that there is no 'language network' in the brain. What appears as such is an inevitable illusion created in part by the methods we use. nature.com/articles/s4158…

Here is our new OA article published in Psychonomic Bulletin & Review w/my amazing collaborators Prof. Asli Ozyurek @ozyurek_a Tilbe Göksun. We showed that spatial WM is particularly critical for processing gestures that complement speech (i.e. demonstratives in speech). doi.org/10.3758/s13423…

Our paper on preterm children's narrative skills is now published! I am so grateful to my advisor Tilbe Göksun and amazing co-authors Şeref Can Esmer Işıl Doğan Dr. Ece Demir-Lira Asli Aktan-Erciyes . Our findings show that preterm children’s narratives are comparable to those of full-term children
