This is great news that comes at a critical time. 9 JPAC priority bills have now been enacted in 2023! We also had two big budget wins (security grants and holocaust education). 4 bills remain on the Governor's desk. He has until 10/14 to take action.

For 50 years, Roe V. Wade protected abortion rights nationwide—until it was reversed in 2022 by Republican-appointees on the Supreme Court. Later that year, CA voters passed Prop 1, protecting reproductive rights in CA and making our state a beacon to those in need of care.

I’ve heard from many of my constituents who are struggling to pay their bills and we know that Bay Area residents are now burdened with some of the highest electricity rates in the nation.

Today, I joined my colleagues in the Assembly and Senate to announce legislation to repeal portions of #AB205 — the income-based fixed charge currently under consideration by CPUC. This is the first step to relief. I’m proud to stand up for ratepayers in #AD78 and across CA.

My colleagues and I urge the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) to reject Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s request for interim rate relief, in order to prevent additional rate increases for Californians. The request is currently under review by the #CPUC .

PG&E has increased their rates every year since 2019, forcing hard working Californians to pay for the company’s failures. It has to stop! I led a letter to the CPUC, signed by 8 other legislators, demanding an immediate halt to PG&E rate hikes through 2026. #CALeg
