Today I toured Project Legacy with TruEvolution Inc.., CEO, Gabriel Maldonado, and his team. Project Legacy will be a wrap-around facility that addresses the needs of the region’s most vulnerable communities facing chronic homelessness.

This past weekend, I joined our community in celebrating the opening of the Mission Heritage Plaza and Civil Rights Institute Inland Southern California. It was inspiring to see a space built for the community with affordable housing and the defense and advancement of civil rights.

Thank you to the City of Perris CA for the recognition for my service in the State Legislature. From hosting AB 60 town halls , senior pancake breakfasts to securing 8.5 million dollars in the State Budget to renovate Foss Field Park, it has been an honor to represent Perris.

This week, I held my last Oversight Hearing as Chair of the Asm Cmte on #HigherEd at CSUSB on Preparing Teachers for the K-12 #EthnicStudies Requirement. Thanks to the panelists and my colleagues @AsmReyes47, Marc Levine 🟦, & Assemblymember James C. Ramos for their participation.

Thank you to the CUC at UC Riverside for the recognition. It has been an honor to represent UCR. Since my first term in the legislature, I have been able to secure over $200 million in State Funding including the initial $15 million of full and continuous funding for the UCR School of Medicine.

Last week, I was recognized by the Monday Morning Group with the President's Award for outstanding leadership and community service. In my ten years in the State Legislature, it has been an honor to have authored legislation and secured state funds for our region.

This morning, I was proud to stand with @UDWA at the Riverside County Board of Supervisors to demand a fix to a broken IHSS Program and a prioritization of seniors and people living with disabilities.

As we celebrate Día de los Muertos, this weekend I attended the Bordando Nuestras Raíces celebration in the City of Perris CA. It was great to see our community celebrate this important tradition and honor loved ones that have passed.
