Our new study published in Nature Communications, led by Ghislain Rocheleau and team. Using TOPMed WGS data, estimate heritability of CAD is 34%. Ultra-rare variants with low LD score contribute ~50% of the heritability. Enrichment in several functional processes. nature.com/articles/s4146…

Thank you Sara! Happy to finally present the work we’ve been doing with the labs of Sander van deer Laan (UMC Utrecht) and Clint Miller (UVA) on carotid plaque morphology and vulnerability at #ASHG24 😊



2/ With data from the Athero-Express, we developed a framework to analyse whole-slide images🔬 for better IPH detection and analysis. 📊 H&E staining showed strong results, and combining it with other stains further improved accuracy.
