You think the information environment is already bad? Just wait til this public media gets gutted. The House voted today to cut abt $9.4 billion in spending for public broadcasting. That'll make it harder for people to get information & news. It'll scare, divide, disenfranchise.

The fundamental misunderstandings from folks responding to me with wild claims about what incitement means, what free speech means. A reminder: everyone in the US has freedom of speech AND due process rights to be heard in court.

Public consciousness is coming around. If the current administration handcuffs a sitting Latino senator for asking a question in a press briefing, what’s next? We need dissent. We need resistance. This is not making America great. This is fascism.

The 9:30am deadline came and went. And the government did not file anything. Mahmoud Khalil must be released. Anything less is continued unconstitutional detention.

Democracies don’t fear protest.

Division and hatred of others is very often a precursor to political violence. This is unacceptable. This cannot be the bait that sets the U.S. on fire.
