Always a treat to encounter breeding Lapwings on the bogs of the Westmeath bogs. Sadly, it’s a species in decline in many areas.

Stayed overnight in #ThetfordForest for a bit of Nightjarring, 3-4 birds chirring & chirping & 1 floated low over our heads. This morning in gloomy damp weather I was blessed with a couple of #Woodlarks, my first #TreePipits of the year & my first ever concrete post pipit 😂

Is there a more mysterious bird in the UK? On a stunning night in Staffordshire we ringed a new male Nightjar, which was one of 2 birds present. A Thermal imager really helped us monitor the nets, keep the birds safe and capture some great footage. #secretlives

Me on a Non-birding trip 🤣 Black-billed Thrush fledgling. It was in the middle of a VERY busy road in #Medellin, #Colombia. I rescued it and put it near its parents in a tree. Happy days 🥰❤️

We're used to seeing our Guillemot with yellow bill and feet, this bare part colour well documented at several UK sites, but we've never seen a Razorbill with yellow feet before
