The LTN came with planters. The planters got removed.

There is a need for #activetravel and #healthystreets

We can achieve this if we Shape Better Streets!

Fuel duty has been frozen for 14 yrs. 2022 it was cut, costing the Treasury £2.4 billion. Social Market Foundation found the freeze has benefitted the top fifth of earners twice as much as the bottom fifth. Yet rail fares continue to rise; Gov needs to reprioritise & end the freeze.

A whopping 70% of Londoners want more low traffic neighborhoods😍 #LondonLovesCycling - and quiet streets kids can play out on, less pollution & knowing neighbours. Don't believe the naysayers - do help us carry on campaigning for a better London! 🫶 forbes.com/sites/carltonr…

ICYMI: "A Euro-wide survey examining transport and mobility trends has found that 70% of Londoners want more Low Traffic Neighborhoods and that a majority agreed that most roads across Greater London should have a 20mph speed limit." 🙌 More evidence that #LondonLovesCycling!

Why ride? ‘I feel more free’ says it all really. 80% of kids want to walk, ride and wheel to school. I think any civilised society has a duty to enable them to do that. Thanks to Louise Haigh for highlighting the importance of what is a life skill 👏

The cost of capping bus fares at £2 would have been tiny compared with keeping the fuel duty freeze. We should be incentivizing public transport which would help reduce carbon emissions - rather than continuing with this regressive fuel duty cut. #AutumnBudget

Road pricing, now. Or, removal of all through-traffic from places where they don't belong and were never designed for 5000 motor vehicles a day. Use the main roads actually adapted for your use. And no, I don't care if they are already full. Drive less in that case.

London's air is getting cleaner thanks to ULEZ. It's a huge win for clean air and climate action. But to truly tackle emissions, we need to go further: cut traffic, curb SUVs, and invest in sustainable transport👇 lbc.co.uk/opinion/views/…

Credit it where it's due Cypress Primary Gold! There's Bikeability training happening this week too. But, the pupils aren't cycling to school. We need cycle lanes or an LTN to encourage them.
