Body Language is big/calm. ✅ Focus on Whats Important Now. ✅ Self Talk is simple but intentional. ✅ In high pressure moments, you will NEVER rise to the occasion, you will ALWAYS sink to your training.

Fun fact: The San Diego Padres are playing former shortstops across the field—talk about versatility and flow‼️ Is movement training for all players to flow like a shortstop the next big thing in baseball?

Watch a kid when he does things that don't benefit him directly...Ex: pick balls in cage, shag, clean dugout after game, pick up/carry equipment, chase a foul ball, reaction when a teammate does well, work on field, etc...It will tell you a lot about how he was raised!!

Softball athletes, you do not need to post every piece of mail, phone call, or detail of your recruiting journey. Share all the details and thanks to those who have helped you and offered you the opportunity, once you decide where you are going. Keep working and growing.

Want to find out if a player has a chance to be special? Watch him on the days he plays poorly. His body language, mannerisms, attitude and natural desire to compete will be on full display.

THIS!!!!!!! Championship mindset. THIS is my definition of FUN. FUN is winning. It takes hard WORK to win. FUN=HARD WORK=WIN. Not many even at the elite level understand this.

Players Remember Your teammates can like you but not respect you. The goal is to be respected. You earn respect by working hard, sacrificing, being mature, being reliable, being dependable and by being invested in your role for the team. Lead by example. Earn respect.

It’s incredibly hard to throw overhand to 1st on a comebacker after several innings of pitching underhand. Softball pitchers should take EVERY opportunity to throw overhand in between innings. Every chance.

AMEN! I’ve been saying this for years now! Watching “elite” level players boot balls all over the field, unable to make average plays and then to see it score a hit? 🤢 I’m assuming it’s for post season awards….which are clearly then flawed.

It's amazing all the graphs, charts, scouting reports etc. all these NCAA softball coaches have at their fingertips for pitch calling, yet so many lack situational awareness. To me, this is pitch calling 101: keep the ball down when protecting less than 2 runs past 5th inning.

Our game is built on the foundation of “playing catch” - when we begin to reward the inability to do that, we are not moving in the right direction.

Well Coached Teams. Compete. Back up bases. Take aggressive turns. Take the extra base. Throw to the right place. Pitch with tempo. Play with class. Make the routine play look routine. Play with energy. Take smart, tough, gritty at bats. Line up correctly defensively. Don't run
