Current smoking reduces small airway eosinophil counts in COPD and controls. The pharmacological agents for stable COPD are LABA/LAMA or SITT. SABA/LAMA combination is safe and more effecctive that LABA or LAMA monotherapy. Adding ICS is effective in a subset, particularly those with high blood eosinophil counts. Lies Lahousse bit.ly/ERSM103

T2 inflammation is a shared treatable trait of some asthma and COPD patients, but the evidence reviewed here indicates that the nature of T2 inflammation is not identical in COPD and asthma. Eosinophilic COPD is not the same as asthma. bit.ly/3XdmwZW
