Houston County Spring Observations Observation 1: A player people forget about on the Houston County defense is LB Western Ard (#9). He's truly one of the few who can do everything. His film tells it all, but in person, he is even better. Last season, he finished with 123

Observation 2: Underrated 2027 RB Austin Stinson is a name to watch for Houston County. The rising junior running back had 956 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns in 2024. In person, he has great contact balance and hits the hole fast and gets vertical quickly. Stinson doesn't waste

Observation 3: A name to know: 2027 DB Jercorien McCoy. McCoy made several plays that caught my eye and he likes to be physical. Doesn't mind coming in that box and hitting you and is a really good tackler in open space. McCoy finished with 30 tackles, three pass deflections and

Observation 4: 2027 ATH Kenneth Hammonds will be a fun one to watch. He primarily plays tight end on offense, but got some play at running back and his physicality caught you instantly. He will also play some linebacker for the Bears in 2025. I am sure the coaching staff will

Observation 5: A guy who had a really productive Bear Hunt, in my opinion, was Alston Jordan. He looked really good in 1 on 1s and was using his power and strength to his advantage. The rising senior will be a big piece on the defensive line for the Bears Alston Jordan

Observation 6: A player to watch on the backend and one that Coach Edwards likes is CB Trey Leary. A thing that caught my eye at practice is that he likes to challenge Houston County elite players Kavon Conciauro and Jordan Smith. He constantly wanted to go against them in

Observation 7: A look 2026 OL Brandon Stokes another a good lineman on the Houston County offensive line. Stokes is 6'3 and 290 moves well and held his own in 1 on 1s at practice. Stokes brings a lot of experience and a dependable player for Coach Edwards Down South

Observation 8: You can't talk Houston County OL without talking 4 ⭐️ OL Braylin Mills. Mills is massive at 6'7 and 330 pounds and hasn't even touched the surface of his true potential. High upside for Mills as he continues to develop in the Hoco program Jeremy Johnson

Observation 9: 2026 LB Kam Brown is a highly productive player for Houston County. He doesn't always get the recognition but continues to grind and work hard. Brown finished with 88 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 11 sacks and nine QB hurries. Since he has been playing varsity, all

Final Observation: You can't talk Houston County Bears without mentioning their two stars 4 ⭐️Jordan Smith and 3 ⭐️Kavon Conciauro. From the looks of it, they will likely play both ways. Conciauro is a physical specimen at 6'3 and 205 pounds. Offensively, he is a tough cover
