This video will change how you think about school. Education doesn't have to look the same way it has for hundreds of years. Kids are capable of so much–just look at the evidence:

Motivation is 90% of the solution to our education crisis. When kids are motivated, they want to master their material & put in the work. Traditional schools are filled with apathetic students who don't understand why their education matters. Fix motivation, fix education.

Kids need to learn a new set of life skills that aren’t taught in standard school: • Learning to learn • Setting ambitious goals • Giving and receiving feedback • Writing for an audience • How to use AI What else would you add?

The question of college admissions has been going crazy on X for the last week. I’ve been at Stanford for just 2 quarters, but I already have some insights. When you hear about Stanford rejecting 60% of students who scored a perfect 1600, you have to ask: what does it really

Students at this school learn FIVE TIMES FASTER than those at a traditional school. Most parents know that schools hold their GT kid back, but don't know just how much. Learn more here:

Mistakenly attributing mathematical struggles solely to a disorder overlooks a critical issue: around 40% of students nationwide are not meeting even basic proficiency standards for their grade level. It's vital for students to address their knowledge gaps before tackling more

For most of modern history, if you graduated Stanford after learning, say, a programming language, for the next ten years, that language would be valuable. Now? You've got less than a year. AI decreases the half-life of knowledge from 10 years to just one. What should you do?

The average adult can't: • Evaluate mathematical conclusions • Use reasoning/inference at different levels • Use comprehensive problem-solving strategies Most adults can't think critically, form their own opinions, or evaluate/understand facts. What is school for, then?

Kids should be able to spend their time developing these skills, not sitting in class for 6 hours every day. The traditional education system does not help kids reach their full potential.

Should you have rules for your kid? The Sovereign Child argues NO. It is important for kids to make their own decisions, but I don't think getting rid of rules is the solution. If you want to have rules for your kid AND give them agency, check out my newsletter. Link in bio.

Reminder that our education system is failing students. The average graduating high school senior scores the EXACT same on a standardized test as the very best third grader. (And yes, the scores are normalized.)

While The Sovereign Child brings up some important ideas about giving kids more autonomy, I found myself questioning a lot of Stupple's arguments – especially his take that rules are inherently harmful. Stupple’s main point is that rules damage parent-child relationships, create

While I think that there are a multitude of issues with "teaching to the test," I totally see how seeing real-time results is motivational for some kids – especially those who are trying to get their SAT/ACT up for colleges. Something I've personally found motivational is the

I'm in shock. I believe that kids are capable of a lot more than people think, but this blows my mind. The way that Mackenzie and this 11 YEAR OLD are having such a mature, thoughtful discussion about how to manage an AirBnB is beyond impressive.

President Trump just signed an executive order to bring AI into schools. But Alpha is ahead of the game. They've been using AI to teach students all their academic content in just 2 HOURS/day. The results? Students are in the 90th percentile nationwide. The
