Very excited to share our co-first author work on Golgi-IP (with amazing Rotimi Fasimoye Raja S. Nirujogi through MRC PPU Aligning Science Across Parkinsonās). We showed that UDP species are enriched in the Golgi and validated the subcellular function of SLC35A2. Organelle-IP rocks! biorxiv.org/content/10.110ā¦
Ever wonder how your professor became your professor? @SFStateBIOās Blake Riggs (Blake Riggs) doesnāt shy away from sharing his science story. He uses it to connect and mentor young scientists. bit.ly/3ZmaGLu
Iām still so energized from working with these amazing participants! Be sure to follow and amplify them, they are #ImagingtheFuture! Hereās ones on twitter: Shahzad S. Khan, Ph.D. Sharifa Love-Rutledge, Ph.D. Deji Adekanye Austin Murchison Joakin MORI Tancia W. Bradshaw, PhD George Walters-Marrah Jones Lamptey (5/5)
Fascinating dive into lysosomal metabolism with Wentao Dong , our fourth speaker of the day at #RisingStarsinMetabolism2023 āPinpointing subcellular transporters via organellar IP and untargeted metabolomicsā
Congratulations Uche Medoh! I am excited to see the impact your discovery has on lysosome biology and the lipid metabolism field.
Excited to share my first PhD work published in Molecular Cell! that reveals a molecular mechanism in the most prevalent neurodegeneration in children and extensively characterizes lysosomal phospholipid catabolism, a pathway crucial in major processes cell.com/molecular-cellā¦

Appel Next up, George Walters-Marrah from the @abu_remaileh lab is also tackling antibiotic resistance. Some pathogens rely on host nutrient supply for replication or persistence. He tells us about pathometabolism--tackling infectious diseases by targeting host-pathogen metabolic interplay.
I am thrilled to announce that our work in collaboration with Alessandro Oriās lab Alessandro Ori, @Blue_ceil is out! We made a significant breakthrough in understanding the role of lysosomes in the brain with the development of the first cell-type-resolved lysosomal protein atlas.
Congratulations!! Kwamina Nyame Jian Xiong (ēå)
