4th Edition of the Specialized Training for African Union Election Observers kicked off today, 21/4/2025,in Rabat🇲🇦. It is co-organized by African Union Political Affairs Peace and Security & the Kingdom of Morocco,Moroccan Diplomacy 🇲🇦. 120 trainers across Africa are attending the 5day training, the largest in the continent.

The training is designed to enhance the capacity & professionalism of African experts in election observation. Building on the success of the past editions, this 4th edition aims to further equip a new cohort of observers with the necessary skills & knowledge to contribute

Participants are primarily youth and women, belonging to Civil Society Organizations, regional organizations, and independent activists, reflecting the AU's commitment to gender equality and youth empowerment.

In his remarks, Commissioner Amb. Bankole Adeoye stressed: "Democracy is Africa's future. Without it, our future will be in jeopardy. It is therefore important that we recommit, under the umbrella of Agenda2063, the Africa We Want, to the democracy we want that includes all of us."
