Marriage is not a license for sexual violence. Trivialising marital rape as "free wi-fi" isn't just wrong; it's harmful & traumatising. The VAPP Act protects EVERYONE from rape, married or not, when: - There is NO consent - "Consent" is obtained through... spousal impersonation.

The law recognizes that rape can occur within marriage. A wedding ring doesn't override a person's right to bodily autonomy or their right to say no. Creating content that suggests married women can be raped with impunity doesn't just misrepresent the law - it endangers lives.

Such messaging emboldens perpetrators and silences survivors who may already struggle to seek help. We urge content creators to educate themselves before spreading harmful misinformation. Sexual violence isn't entertainment - it's a serious crime with devastating consequences.

May we not die before our time. Everything else is meaningless.
