BASC has helped deliver a pilot course for FEOs, which will be rolled out to all FEOs in the UK over the next two years. The course aims to give them hands-on experience with the types of guns and shooting activities they are likely to encounter. orlo.uk/BsNIl

BREAKING Due to widespread severe weather, BASC is calling for those who shoot in Scotland to exercise restraint in the shooting of ducks, geese and waders. Areas particularly affected are Aberdeenshire, Moray and the Highlands. Read more: orlo.uk/Zvkqm

The voluntary restraint on the shooting of wildfowl and waders in Scotland can be officially lifted. Those who shoot are asked to continue to exercise restraint for as long as necessary in any areas where waterfowl appear to need more time to recover. orlo.uk/apirG
