For a talk, I updated the remaining carbon budget figure from GlobalCarbonProject based on a recent publication from Piers Forster and colleagues. If CO₂ emissions continue like 2022, on January 2024, we'll have 5.25 years to use up the remaining carbon budget for 1.5°C.

After a 17-day journey of over 1100km the antarctica.gov.au MYIC traverse team arrived Little Dome C today. Bravo! 👏🏼👏🏼 Offering them a warm welcome (in the red suits) are Saverio Panichi (left) Beyond EPICA Field Leader and Riccardo Scipinotti (right) Concordia Station Leader.


After re-anchoring the drill on the cable tonight we got back to drilling, but not before fixing some other minor issues. Those not involved in drill reparation had the chance to visit our Australian neighbors for coffee and cookies Million Year Ice Core 📸antarctica.gov.au
