The Steps for Schools walking challenge has put more than $355,000 into Idaho schools since 2015. We celebrated the 53 elected officials who completed this year's challenge at an award ceremony at the Capitol. We thank everyone who walked and supported public schools in Idaho.

State Treasurer Julie Ellsworth participated in Steps for Schools this year. She earned $500 for walking more than 5,000 steps a day in February. She chose Prairie View Elementary in Cottonwood to receive the funding, which can be used for equipment to help kids be active.
