Today we marked Black Ribbon Day BC Legislature. On this somber occasion, we commemorate those who suffered and were killed by Soviet and Nazi regimes in Europe. I am grateful to all those who took the time to join us for an afternoon of remembrance and reflection.

It was my privilege this morning to present British Columbia’s independent officers with King Charles III Coronation Medals in recognition of their outstanding service. All of them bring honour to our province. BC Legislature

Continuing on my listening tour to First Nations across BC, today Clerk Kate Ryan-Lloyd and I visited T'kemlúps te Secwépemc. It was an honour to share a meal with Kúkpi7 Roseanne Casimir & Council, learn about the important work they are leading, and discuss how @bclegislature

This morning, Eddy Charlie of Victoria Orange Shirt Day, gave us the honour of raising his personal Survivors’ flag BC Legislature. It will fly today as we mark the occasion with a ceremony of reflection, and again on September 30th, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
