On Monday I had a first in my teaching career… all feeder schools in one place! Thank you TEAMBCPS Math for sharing your standard progression activity with us. The math teams definitely enjoyed seeing where these standards fell in the progression from 5 to Algebra.

4th grade students had a field trip to the Science Center. While we got to dive deeper into our science unit, we also got to explore our upcoming MATH unit- geometry & measurement! Students loved seeing the connections between the two subjects!!

This morning with TEAMBCPS Math we talked about how our students are accessing quadratic functions and the many entry points they could use to solve their math tasks. We also talked about strategies to progress them toward the grade level standards of these task.
