Final results in from OCIAA thrower’s pentathlon. Mihalchik finished 1st in Javelin (132’ 1”) and second in Hammer (182’ 11”), while Rudolph grabbed 2nd in the girl’s javelin (78’ 6”). Attached video is Mihalchik’s #2 Beacon All-Time Hammer. (Check out that footwork!! 😀)

Congrats to Frank Zezza and Charlie Klein on finishing 3rd at the Orange County tournament today besting their 4th place finish in 2024. They look forward to Sectionals on Wednesday. Beckett Anderson will be joining them at Sectionals. Beacon Athletics

Congrats to team Hungary for coming through with an epic victory in the 2025 Beacon Tennis Olympics. Charlie Klein made the winning shot to clinch the gold medal in dramatic fashion. Other team members: Theo Concepcion, Terry Chen & Isaac Tschang.

Section 9 Class B Championship is in the books. Congrats to a strong Cornwall team for claiming both titles and a tip of the cap to Rondout Valley for hosting. Beacon boys finished 3rd and the girls finished 8th in the 13 team field.

Great day for our Beacon 800 runners as Freshman Caellum Tripaldi dipped under 2 minutes again (claiming 3rd) and junior Mika Sanchez dropped a 3 second PR to go 2:28 and score points for Beacon. Honorable mention to freshman Shane Signorelli dropping a 2:05 😀

Senior Izaiah Mitchell scores points in both 100 and 200 meters (23.02)!

Sophomores Brevin Timm and Khloe Franklin placed 2nd in the section in their respective 5-event pentathlons. Brevin won the 1500 portion with a 15 second improvement on his first effort two weeks ago

Both of our 4x800 relays scored and ran season bests as the girls (Reinke, Murr, Allee, and Sanchez) finished 4th while the boys (Clay, Signorelli, Hetrick, and Tripaldi) snagged 3rd place medals

Other major contributors for Beacon included Noah Spiak - 400Hurdles (3rd) and Jahcier Ballard - High Jump - 2nd (6 feet 2 inches)
