Chief Minister of the Isle of Man Alfred Cannan has been welcomed to the British-Irish Council Summit being hosted by NI Executive by the First Minister and deputy First Minister. The Summit will focus on the role of AI in reform and transformation.


The First Minister and deputy First Minister greet Pat McFadden, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, at the 43rd British-Irish Council Summit, being hosted by the Northern Ireland Executive. The Summit will bring together leaders from the eight member administrations.


Secretary of State for Northern Ireland Hilary Benn was met by the First Minister and deputy First Minister ahead of the start of the British-Irish Council Summit. Discussions will include political developments since the last Summit, held in Edinburgh in December 2024.


The First Minister and deputy First Minister have met with First Minister of Wales Eluned Morgan ahead of the start of the British-Irish Council Summit. The summit provides an opportunity for the eight member administrations to discuss areas for collaboration and to meet shared


First Minister of Scotland John Swinney has been welcomed to the British-Irish Council Summit being hosted by NI Executive by the First Minister and deputy First Minister. The last Summit hosted by the Executive was in Fermanagh in 2021.

Minister Deputy Ian Gorst represented Government of Jersey at the 43rd British-Irish Council in Northern Ireland this week, alongside Chief Minister Dep. Lyndon Farnham. Delegates discussed the role of AI in reform and transformation, and its benefits for health diagnosis and prevention of illness.
