#RecordOfTheWeek today is a Buff-tailed Bumblebee (Bombus terrestris), seen in Goytre by Kate Marks. Perhaps a surprising sight, but there is evidence some queens stay active overwinter instead of hibernating: bumblebeeconservation.org/winter-active-…. Thanks for rec, submitted via LERC Wales App.
