Fabulous pitching duel in St. Louis where the Cardinals beat the Dodgers, 2-1, on Nolan Arenado's walk-off single. Starters Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Erick Fedde combined for 11 1/3 shutout innings. The Cardinals continue to be baseball's biggest surprise with a 36-28 record.

Atlanta is handed another gut punch. Atlanta loses on another walk-off, this time the San Francisco Giants score 2 runs in the 9th inning to win, 3-2. Atlanta, 27-36, is 9 games below .500 for the 1st time since 2017.
