1) Alice spent #internationalwomensday singing with children at Devonshire Infants in Smethwick. We loved hearing how the story and the music impacted them - one staff member told us that a boy with SEN who never sits longer than a moment, sat calmly through the whole performance.

2) Children used their voices and joined in - and the nursery children danced like swans, kangaroos, chickens, elephants and tortoises! They also demonstrated yet again that there is no one right way to play an instrument. #aliceandthelibrarytree

3) That’s 360 young children introduced to the wonder of opera today and encouraged through storytelling to think about how to raise their own voice and have their own agency to advocate for libraries and arts. #aliceandthelibrarytree #savelibraries #blackcountry #smethwick

B'Opera Devonshire Infants Can't thank you enough for an awe and wonder filled day

B'Opera brought us bucketloads of awe and wonder today. An in school theatre show, based around the story of a library tree. The performers sang opera to us and performed a tale of saving libraries from closure, as books are so important. Purely magical Devonshire Infants
