I'm curious. What's this whole thing about witchcraft and goats? I've seen The VVitch and get that according to Christian theology the goat is the devil and witches are bad. But I'm sure that's never been true. I'm wondering if there is an older pagan association?

Witches flying on broomsticks. Is it a myth or is there a kernel of truth hidden in the folklore? I had a friend who one night turned up terrified because he insisted he'd been followed by a witch on a broomstick. His fear was genuine. He wasn't hallucinating, drunk or high.
