Lots of learning through trial and error, adapting projects and using new ideas to create “platforms” for their projects. Fascinating to observe our 3-4 year olds use such problem solving and curiosity this week.

We found a land turtle shell in Kindergarten, it provoked incredible observational skills and language. Such a beautiful moment to capture.

After the session with HYWEL ROBERTS😀🦈 yesterday Kindergarten arrived armed with ideas of action. “I’m making a turtle egg protector” “this is the beach with beautiful rocks and many places for people to watch them but not touch”.The power of a provocation that creates investment.

The Creative Studio is becoming a hive of bee research in Reception. Lots of expertise being formed around bees and many insects.

After reading the story Jack and The Flum Flum tree Kindergarten were inspired to go on their own journey and represent their ideas. Such creative and adventurous journeys have been imagined.

Reception are having a great day at the farm. They have been making food for the animals, working in a team and enjoying a beautiful sunny day!

“We made a castle. I was inspired by my crown. We made it very stable. I could see my castle on the wall, it looks so so big. Way up high on the mountain!” J age 4.8 years old. Wonderful when inspiration for a story setting is an outfit!

The loose parts area in Kindergarten was thriving with creativity and imagination, not to mention amazing mathematical thinking. “This is the place where you go and rest and eat marshmallows”. G age 4.9 years.

Today’s rain brought a lot of learning. “ we need to collect the rain water and save it for the plants”. So much problem solving, motivation, trial and error involved. A joy to observe such enquiries.

Kindergarten were in awe of the beautiful artwork displayed from our GCSE and ALevel art students. Thank you Helen for hosting us on our tour, we talked about what we saw, our ideas and why we liked certain pieces. The British School

We are so proud of our minibeast experts in Reception. Their incredible assembly full of confidence and research was a joy to see. Wonderful to invite our families to enjoy their research through the exhibition today.
