Meet the M-MATISSE payload team! We had a great Mission Consolidation Review colocation with very productive discussions, and even a couple of team mascots joined the discussions 😁 (can you find them?). We are now about to start soon Phase-A2! Yay!! ✨🛰🛰✨

Have a look to this fantastic paper recently published in JGR-Planets for which I had the pleasure to be the Editor, and that provides a new dataset on winds at Mars from seismic observations. A really cool approach! ✨✨

Just back from a great week in the Alps, in Les Houches, hiking, skiing and learning all secrets about Mars, including how auroras are formed! Also a great place to bond with the Leicester Martians! 🤩✨🛰🏔️

With a bit of delay due to holidays, here a few pics from the 2nd International Conference of Deep Space Science in China, where I had the honor to be an invited plenary speaker (and see my face everywhere in the city…) and talk after the major of Hefei!

Last night (in the UK) I had a great discussion with the US Mars Space Weather collaboration group… about M-MATISSE and Space Weather! my two favorite topics 😁😁

The fantastic M-MATISSE team has been very present at #EGU2025 with several talks and posters. Today was the big day for the general overview of the mission, and Tom Andert from the radio science team did an outstanding job! As always, the team is very happy to discuss with all!

Everything is ready at UCL for our M-MATISSE workshop starting next Monday! Looking forward to meeting all our delegates in a fantastic science week! And in a, looks like, very sunny London! ☀️🛰✨🛰✨

Very proud of my PhD student Dikshita Meggi who just published her first paper in JGR-Planets! She studied how the Martian magnetic field controls the topside dynamics of the ionosphere using data from the MARSIS radar on Mars Express agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1029/20…

M-MATISSE community workshop has just started! 180 attendees discussing all fascinating aspects of the science of the mission! We had yesterday a fantastic first lessons learnt day, and today we go for a full day discussing Mars’ global dynamics! ✨🛰🛰✨
