It has been a dominant run for the Ballston Spa boys lacrosse team through the Class B sectional tournament thus far. The Scotties have outscored their two opponents 39-7 after Friday's 17-6 win over CBA in the semifinals. Tyler Curcio and Declan Phillips both had a day. Curcio

After an even first quarter, Ballston Spa took control of the Class B championship, cruising to a title winning victory! A 5-0 second quarter allowed the Scotties to take control, going on to win 17-6! B'Spa Athletics

Today & tomorrow we will be posting postseason honors our players earned. Thank you to all of our players, families, and supporters for making this year successful for our program!

Up first is our leading goal scorer this season, Jr. Captain Vinny Rossetti. Vinny had a phenomenal year at Attack with 44 Goals, 19 Assists, & 63 Points! He was also an integral part of our ride team and led our Attack with over 40 GB’s. Congrats Vin!

Tim Sikoryak backstopped a young defense that improved all year long with his guidance and communication! Tim had 194 saves this year and a save percentage of over 54%. He also was our DJ for practice and played a few playlists for the coaches that was much appreciated!

Jr. Captain Declan Phillips earned Suburban Council All-Star finishing the season as our leading point scorer with 65 points! Declan scored 43 Goals & 22 Assists from the Attack position this year! Congrats Dec!

Senior Captain Matt Cook earned All-Star with an amazing year on Defense! Matt scored 3 Goals & 1 Assist along with picking up 34 GB’s to lead our defense. He had 16 Caused Turnovers against some of the best Attack Section II had to offer. Congrats Matt!

Jr. Midfielder Gavin McNulty led our offense from the Midfield position this year! Gavin scored 31 Goals & 4 Assists for 35 Points this season. He was our leading goal scorer from the Midfield often drawing our opponents best LSM. Congrats Gav!

Jr. Faceoff Specialist Will Chapman led the Suburban Council at the Faceoff Position to earn 1st Team All-Star! Will excelled at the X and played a large role on our Man-up Team scoring 8 Goals, 11 Assists for 19 Points. Will secured 171 GB’s with a W % of over 65% at the X!
