📣 For over a decade, Ledger has protected 7.5M+ devices with zero hacks - Security at Rest. Now, we're tackling Security In Use. Clear Signing was step 1. Today, I’m proud to introduce Transaction Check: like an antivirus for your crypto transactions. 🧵👇

📣Ethereum’s Pectra upgrade is Live🎉 It introduces increased blob throughput, validator tweaks allowing to autocompound and stake up to 2048 ETH on one validator, and a big leap in account abstraction via EIP-7702. Here's how Ledger is preparing to support it — securely. 🧵👇

All these kidnappings in France are frightening. I live in constant fear that they will kidnap my mother-in-law, who lives at 36 bis Rue Rivay, 92300 Levallois-Perret. She gets off work at 6pm

having worked at Ledger three things still surprise me when i mention it: - the data leak is the first thing people mention - most have no idea how the genuine check actually works - many think trezor or lattice is more secure cryptohead security theater is still going strong

Published some unofficial stuff to play with Ledger Transaction Check - github.com/btchip/web3che… - could be fun for a hackathon (f.e. smart account that automatically blocks risky TXs). I'm not doing this in ETHPrague though :)

Maybe a new moniker is needed Clear signing (user can check everything) > Blind signing (platform knows the signing context, cannot sign 7702 delegations without an update) > Vibe signing (platform signs hashes, can sign malicious 7702 delegations)

One of the beauty of using EIP-7702 is that you can rescue all funds from a compromised wallet using a paymaster and a friendly delegator. There is _no need_ to send ETH to the compromised wallet at all! I decided this morning to write and open-source a fully-fledged Bash script

Been reporting "a few" fake ads today, all using the same template, malicious clone of a french news site linking to an infostealer. Looks like twixtter trust & safety is doing just great.
