This really was a great week - Bangor University is so blessed with fantastic locations for field trips on our doorstep. Sure these students will sleep well tonight, too!

Brilliant to see so many Environment@Bangor staff and research students presenting their work at #WCSS2022 this week. Bangor's reputation for excellent research in soil science continues! 🤓🦾



Trip lleol i weld defnydd hanfodol pori gan wartheg ar gyfer cadwraeth. A great trip with Nature Friendly Farming Network to see how cattle are an essential tool in managing this site for conservation, primarily of fungi. More trips to come this week @BangorSNS!



2nd-yr Env Science students getting up close to one of the biodigesters built and run by Fre-energy on an organic dairy farm. Fascinating visit where we discussed waste / resource management, renewables, GHGs, livestock systems, regulation, soils / water / nutrients, and more!


Our last Open Day of the current batch yesterday - great to have so much interest in Env Science. As always, our Peer Guides were a big help …And huge congrats to Emma Dickens, one of our Env Science students who won the Bangor University Peer Guide of the Year award last week! 👏😊👍
