Hi fellow BACON investigators. You should congratulate yourselves. We have crossed the 700 patient threshold. While many of these are from the prevalence ancillary, the core study is ramping up as well. Bronchiolitis just peaking here and months away in the Southern Hemisphere

Looking forward to seeing many from BACON_Study this week at PALISI meeting. We'll have some updates about current projects and then hopefully a nice discussion about research priorities and directions going forward. If you need Zoom info, please DM or e-mail.

To all those who worked on our first BACON study...thank you. This is the first of what should be many papers. It has been a bumpy road disrupted by COVID and other things, so thanks for the persistence. #pedsicu PALISI LARed Network journals.lww.com/pccmjournal/ab…

Our new study in Journal of Intensive Medicine analyzed factors for noninvasive respiratory support (NRS) failure in LARed Network #PedsICU. Children who fail NRS and need ventilation show similar outcomes to those intubated initially, supporting NRS trials as a valuable approach. Thank u all

Hi #PedsICU bronchiolitis folks. I want to point you to a new account for @palisi Bronchiolitis subgroup. PALISI BACON is active and is the subgroup account. BACON_Study will remain active for our research studies but we want to make the study and subgroup clearly separate
