GLP1 agonists like Ozempic and Zepboud could be one of the most important drug classes in decades. In a MASSIVE study, people with diabetes who took these drugs had lower risks of heart failure, pneumonia, dementia, blood clots, and even substance use disorders.

In two new studies, a once-dismissed class of drugs made a comeback. Obicetrapib cut LDL cholesterol by ALMOST HALF in high-risk patients that were already on medications, "similar to the effect of high-intensity statin therapy" Wow!

The pulse oximeter still feels like magic to me. With light alone, you get heart rate, rhythm, oxygenation, and the dreaded drop in pitch… and you can titrate PEEP. Maybe.
