Thanks to our volunteers on Saturday. We had a good clean up followed by our AGM where we discussed our goals for the coming year. We will update you with developments as we liaise with @DCC and the NEIC

As most of the BBPop team are busy this weekend, we are unfortunately cancelling our clean up this Saturday. We will be back at 5 Foster Tce on Saturday June 7 at 12. In the mean time, pick up what you can outside your house to help keep the place looking great.

Today’s clean up concentrated on re-stocking some of our planters and clearing serious dumping on Charleville Ave at the North Strand end (constant issue). We enjoyed seeing the bees feasting on nectar at Sackville Ave Corner. #greening #biodiversity #pollinators #Community

No surprise that Dublins North Inner City yielded this sad headline in the Irish Times and on national radio. The sad fact is it’s a relatively small number of repeat offenders doing most of the illegal dumping. All we can do is keep advocating for systemic change!

Despite the negative report about the dumping in the NEIC and the obvious dire need for systemic change in waste management we continue our clean ups and take pride in our neighbourhood. Be part of the solution! Meeting at 12 noon, 5 Foster Tce!

Thanks to our volunteers who did Trojan work on this warm day. DCC planting on Kings Ave and Ballybough Court looked lovely in the sunshine. Well done to all for the upkeep of this lovely elder community.
