BallydanganBog is one of the best examples of grass roots conservation in the country. Communities in the midlands have seen their bogs & streams decimated by peat mining. Ensuring future generations hear the call of the Curlew is the least we can do irishtimes.com/environment/20…

Great article about the Ballydangan Bog Red Grouse project in the The Irish Times featuring the hard work, motivations and successes. Thanks to The Heritage Council and others for their continued support. irishtimes.com/environment/20…

We had a great #HeritageWeek2024 event on Ballydangan Bog. Thanks to all that support us, in particular, the The Heritage Council National Heritage Week 🙏

Agricultural science students from Ollscoil na Gaillimhe | University of Galway joined us today at BallydanganBog and a nearby project farm where dams were recently installed. They learned about the Red Grouse, results-based scorecards, and how raising the water table reduces peat wastage and carbon emissions.

The hard work on Ballydangan Bog continues as we approach the winter. We appreciate all the support we receive from the local community and a wide range of organisations including The Heritage Council #HeritageCouncil
